The votes are in, and April’s PixelScrapper Blog Train is going to be using a bright and cheerful palette. It’s already inspired me to get a couple of scrapbooking papers made for the train. The theme this month is Reflections, which is wide open to lots of different interpretations. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!
I’ve also been working on a special request. It’ll be a full kit when I’m done, so don’t expect to see it posted for a few weeks yet. It’s got a lot of saturated basic colors in it, and a lot of weapons. It’s also already got somewhere around 2 dozen papers, so I think I’m pretty much done on the papers. There will be a lot of word art as well, but I’m currently working on drawing more of the elements for it.
But today–today is not a day for staying indoors. We’ve got a chance of rain, but it’s supposed to get up to 69F/20C today after weeks of not getting over 55F. Of course, the nice weather is too good to last; tomorrow’s forecast is for ice pellets and a high of 32F/0C. So I’m going to go get my shopping finished today while the weather’s warmer and maybe shoot some photos if the light is decent.
Also, this weekend we heard from my son, who’s currently deployed with the Navy. He’s doing well, though obviously operational security means I can’t say anything about where he is or when he’ll be back. It’s good to know he’s all right, though, even if I’d love to hear from him more often.
